Set in 450 acres amid the peaks and creeks of Mammoth Lakes, this mountain resort is 4.9 miles from the skiing of Mammoth Mountain, 6.8 miles from US Route 395 and 8.9 miles from Mammoth Yosemite airport.
The 1- to 4-bedroom units, made from rough-hewn timber and stone, have kitchens, living rooms with fireplaces, and garages. They come with cable TV, DVD players, stereos and BBQs.
A resort fee includes use of Snowcreek Athletic Club's recreation facilities, including a spa, a gym, sports courts and pools. Other perks include a discount on the Ted Robinson-designed golf course, and an airport shuttle (some restrictions apply).

The Lodges at Snowcreek is the best overall due to luxury standards inside + best location for immediate access to hiking trails, outdoor activities, magnificent views and privacy - a total lux development - no surprises. Love the access to the Athletic Club, golf course, awesome hiking, cross country ski trails when you walk out the door. Finding a real gem to stay in can take some time, but worth it. Look at 1203 The Lodges - its brand new and our #1 favorite."
